Miller, (Alton) Glenn
(1 mar. 1904, Clarinda, Iowa, EE.UU.–16 dic. 1944, en el mar).

Trombonista estadounidense y director de una de las orquestas de baile más populares de la era del swing. Miller formó su banda en 1937. Su sello musical fue la ejecución precisa de arreglos en los que destacaba un clarinete como líder de la sección de saxofones. En 1942, disolvió su orquesta para enrolarse y asumir la dirección de una banda militar en el frente de batalla. Viajaba en avión de Londres a París cuando el aeroplano desapareció sobre el canal de la Mancha y nunca fue encontrado. Sus grabaciones de temas como "Moonlight Serenade, "Chattanooga Choo-Choo, "In the Mood y "String of Pearls son clásicos de la época.
